The second album from Norwegian folk lords Kings of Convenience, Riot On An Empty Street extends the understated indie-folk aesthetic that dictated the duo’s debut, Quiet Is The New Loud. The duo’s knack for expressing the bluest of emotions through beautiful, subtle melodies and harmonies is on full display once again, with tracks like “Homesick,” “I’d Rather Dance With you,” “Know-How (feat. Feist),” and “Misread” being standouts. Released by Astralwerks for the first time since 2004, this is a indie-exclusive reissue.
